Easy enough for my 5 year old to open on her own. Such cute designs. I have not had any leaking problems. Easy enough to clean.Worked fine for one day but after first washing/drying the latch became more difficult to close. After 4 uses the latch broke.Attempting to contact the seller for a replacement. Will update.I’m not sure why people are so happy with this bento box. After only a few washings (by hand) the seal seems misshapen and the latch isn’t closing properly.It is annoying to clean overall.I overlooked the weight (it is surprisingly heavy) because I thought it would lend itself to being sturdy and because the designs are very cute. I purchased the matching bag, backpack and water bottle as well.I’m happy with all of those products so far.This bento box is not a good buy.This is wonderful at keeping each compartments food separate which was a big problem I had with other lunch boxes. This is probably suited to an older kid (tho compartments are smallish) as it’s hard to open for a 3 yr old.I love this for my 4 and 1 yr old I make grazing boxes for them that has a variety of snack for them to have access to through your the day that way I know what and how much they ate. Prefect for school to it is easy to open and closeI liked everything about it!My son loves this container for his lunches. My only complaint is when it first arrived it had what looked like chewed gum stuck to it where the latch is to open it. I had to use a butter knife to get it off because nothing else worked so it ended up getting scratched up a little bit. Le cane todo el lunch a mi hijo y es muy práctica y bonita.
